At last night’s Cook County College Teacher’s Union Local Local 1600 House of Delegates meeting, the representatives from all of the community college across Cook County voted unanimously to support the CTU in their strike. The House voted to donate $1000 for the CTU strike fund and encourages members to give of their time to walk the picket lines.
Several chapter leaders noted that many members from the city, suburbs, and retiree chapters have joined CTU teachers on their picket lines.
It was also noted that during the City College strike and during the Harper College strike members of CTU gave support to our members who were walking picket lines.
