Moraine Valley Faculty Association
Moraine Valley Support Staff Association
February 2017
On Tuesday, April 4th, elections will be held for two positions for the Moraine Valley Community College Board of Trustees. The Moraine Valley Faculty Association and Moraine Valley Support Staff Association support the following candidates:
- Mr. John Coleman
- Mr. Brian O’Neill
These two candidates best represent the educational values embodied by Moraine Valley as we serve our students. These candidates will provide needed leadership for the future as Moraine Valley faces reduced state support.
As a sitting Trustee, Mr. Coleman has a solid record of supporting and advocating for Moraine Valley. Over his six years on the Moraine Valley Board, he has worked to support the long-term good of the college putting the needs of students and the community first. He has a proven record of leadership.
Mr. O’Neill would bring years of public service and experience to the Moraine Valley Board. He has a solid understanding of how local governments set priorities and efficiently provide services to local constituencies. He would be an asset in terms of advocacy, governance, and oversight.
Historically, the Moraine Valley Faculty Association and Moraine Valley Support Staff Association have worked in a spirit of partnership with the Moraine Valley Board of Trustees to offer affordable, high-quality education to our district. Our associations seek to maintain a culture of innovation, cooperation, and integrity within our campus community. We believe that these candidates will help us maintain our high standards and record of success.
The Faculty Association and Support Staff Association urge you to vote on Tuesday, April 4th, and we urge you to vote for John Coleman and Brian O’Neill.
